Reporting on and learning from  your campaign is equally as important as running it. Learn how to use Keyhole to create easy campaign debriefs, impress clients and celebrate your success.

For Who: Your clients, Executives & External Departments

For What: Communicating overall performance of campaigns and insights into the spikes

Time Period: Entire duration of campaign or in segmented intervals

The main purpose of these reports is to make it easy for everyone, even non-social media marketers, to understand your activities and accomplishments. Visual reports are crucial for upper management to quickly grasp the impact of your campaign without understanding the details.

How: Include Key Metrics. This can be broken down into three big categories – Total activity, buzz, and best channels

 

TOTAL ACTIVITY

Posts:Total number of posts on Twitter and/or Instagram containing your keyword

Users: Number of users that used your keyword and hashtag

Reach: The number of unique people who may see these posts.

Impressions: The total number of potential views, including same users seeing multiple posts with the target keyword/hashtag.

BUZZ

Most Influential users based on engagement, klout, and frequency

Exposure: Measures the total Impressions that a user has generated, including the impressions generated by their Retweeters.

Share of Posts: Bigger percentage of RTs and Replies means higher engagement

AMPLIFICATION & NEXT STEPS

Relevant Keywords & Hashtags: Leverage this to plan for your next campaign or further amplify and match your current campaign to the voice of your users by using them in your copy

Top Sources: Know how your target audience interact with your brand’s campaign. Use this insight to better plan your next campaign or tweak your current strategy. For instance, if you find that 60% of your sources are mobile web, ensure all your digital assets are mobile friendly.

This can also be used to inform your Twitter ads strategy, if you find that most of your target audience engages with your Keywords on mobile, create mobile friendly landing pages and shift budget between mobile targeting and desktop targeting appropriately.

Media: People love visuals. Repurpose the top media posts, found via the media tab, to create supporting content for further amplification.

Pro Tip:

Use timelines to give contextual explanation. Your 400k increase in number posts will have a completely different weight depending on the amount of posts you had prior to the campaign.

Start by typing in the hashtag or keyword you want to track and eventually report.

Once you’ve accumulated enough data, go to your my trackers page and click on the tracker.

Once the dashboard opens, click on the top right button that says “PDF” to download the PDF report.

Click “Yes – I’ll wait.”
