How Barstool Sports scoped out social media and analyzed public sentiment using Keyhole

Background: Barstool Sports is an NYC-based leading sports media company producing high-quality content to reach 66+ million users monthly. The Kentucky Derby, Super Bowl, PGA Championship, U.S. Open Golf, & other big athletic events rank Barstool Sports as the #1 most influential social media account.

Problem: The Barstool Sports team manually tracked hashtags and keywords related to the industry. The manual process didn’t work out since there were too many variables to track. Even after using some tools, Barstool Sports wasn’t entirely satisfied with their results.

Process: Barstool Sports added more than 50 trackers to monitor their campaigns. They also gauged sentiments around these campaigns to engage better with their audience. They could stay hyper-vigilant and keep a tab on the latest happenings in the sports world using Keyhole.

Result: Besides tracking campaigns, they could also audit their social media accounts growth. They could compare which source stood out for specific promotions. They actively participated and quickly covered small and big events with Keyhole’s real-time trackers.
