What are Millennials?

Millennials, also known as Generation Y, were born between the early 1980s and late 1990s. They are often considered tech-savvy, diverse, open-minded, and interested in work-life balance. 

Millennials have grown up with advancing technology and have been greatly affected by globalization and economic trends. This generation is known for their use of social media and their focus on environmental sustainability and social issues.

What does Generation Y stand for?

Generation Y is another term commonly used to refer to millennials. It was coined as the successor to Generation X and is based on the idea that this generation follows the previous one in the sequence of generations. 

The exact reason for referring to this generation as Generation Y is not entirely clear. Still, one possible explanation is that it indicates the generation that follows Generation X in the alphanumeric sequence of generations. 

It is worth noting that the term Generation Y is less commonly used today, with millennials being the more widely accepted and recognized term.

What is the generation after Millennials? 

The generation that comes after Millennials is Generation Z, also known as Gen Z or the iGeneration.

Who is a Millennial, and who is Gen Z?

Millennials refer to individuals born between 1981 and 1996. They are characterized as the generation that came of age around the turn of the 21st century. 

Millennials witnessed the rise of technology, such as the internet and social media, and experienced major events like 9/11 and the Great Recession.

On the other hand, Generation Z, also known as Gen Z or the iGeneration, typically refers to individuals born between 1997 and 2012. They are the generation that grew up with smartphones, social media platforms, and instant access to information. 

Gen Z individuals are often described as diverse, tech-savvy, and focused on social justice and sustainability issues.
