Story

We made Keyhole to solve our biggest social media pain-point: Tracking Twitter and Instagram conversations is too difficult, in terms of both data collection and presentation.

Turns out, a lot of other people felt the same.

Now, we’re focused on continuously improving how Keyhole tracks keywords and hashtags. We also make account reporting tools to help businesses analyze brand and competitor social profiles.

Founders

Saif Ajani

Saif Ajani

The business strategy lead, Saif has guided the development of Keyhole into a tool trusted by social media professionals throughout the world.

After a pivot from another venture, Saif focused his efforts on hashtag analytics. He secured thousands of businesses — from Fortune 500 companies such as Verizon and Amazon to fast-growing startups such as Uber — as clients that rely on our platforms every day.

Raised in Toronto, he earned his Bachelor of Math degree in Computer Science at the University of Waterloo. He completed his Master of Business Administration degree at Cornell University, specializing in entrepreneurship and strategy.

Minaz Abdulla

Minaz Abdulla

The lead software developer, Minaz has built Keyhole into what it is today.

He and business partner Saif Ajani experimented with startup ideas before founding Assetize, a marketplace to buy and sell Twitter accounts, in 2009. Twitter wasn’t thrilled with Assetize’s success, but it would go on to become Keyhole’s parent company in 2013.

Raised in Ottawa, he earned Bachelor and Master of Electrical Engineering degrees from the University of Waterloo.

Jesse Quist

Jesse Quist

Director of Growth & Digital Marketing

Jesse leads Keyhole’s marketing strategies, working to optimize our tools, website and social media tactics to attract and convert more visitors. He does it all while communicating with clients and prospects to help develop features they value.

He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Biophysics from York University.

Marcus Guido

Marcus Guido

Content Marketing Manager

Marcus handles Keyhole’s content creation and promotion. He also does media relations, successfully pitching Keyhole data to authoritative online publications. When he’s not writing, he teaches martial arts to teens and adults.

He has a Bachelor of Journalism degree from Carleton University and a Master of Professional Communication degree from Ryerson University.

Samuel Hecquet

Back End Engineering Lead

Samuel is largely responsible for helping build the back ends of Keyhole tools, launching new iterations of our platforms.

Along with a master’s degree in multimedia and project management from the Université du Sud Toulon Var (France), he has a Bachelor of Computer Science degree.

Hussain Abbas

Hussain Abbas

Front End Engineering Lead

Keyhole’s head of front end engineering by day, Hussain is a technology learner, creator, designer, developer and dabbler by night. That means he spends his free time messing with the new JavaScript framework or building something like a Hackintosh in a cardboard box.

While the other kids were playing red rover during recess in elementary school, he spent his time making nifty web apps before it was cool.

Customer Success Manager

Hannah serves as a liaison between Keyhole’s team and its customers, helping users make the most out of our social media analytics platforms. She uses customer feedback to help the company grow and develop products to meet their needs.

She has a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Toronto.
